As some of us know, it can be almost impossible to take any time on a rock and roll tour for excursions into nature. Owl has had some limited success in the past, so I know it can be done, but when I visited the Northwest, playing drums for the hard partying Deathgrave, hiking time was almost non existent. Luckily there was one leisurely day between Eureka and Fort Bragg where we were able to cruise the Avenue Of The Giants and stop briefly at majestic Founder's Grove.
